Q6: After the big 80's explosion did you think the 90's would be as bad as it was for Horror?
Kathy: Honestly I did, I didn't think they would be able to strike gold again in such a short period of time.
Grant: Not me, I was foolish enough to think that everything would continue to get better perpetually ad infinitum. Silly man that I was. In hindsight though, it was needed like all slumps are. After years of disappointment your expectations eventually reach zero. I've been a Canucks fan for 29 years so trust me, that I know! Hahahaha
Robin: I figured they would do what they always do, remakes and endless sequels. Everyone knows sequels might make them money but they suck for us. Grant, I hear you, I'm a Flyers fan
Jeff: Little late in the conversation I guess. What horror movies were there in the 90's that are actually worth any thing? Lol.....zzzzzzzzz......Yeah they all sucked save for "Army of Darkness", well that's more comedy I guess. After the 70's and 80's I was hoping things would continue and they seem to have only gotten worse since the mid 90's and on. Like I said earlier the only saving grace for me in the 90's was seeing "Ringu" from Japan for the first time back in '98, that gave me some hope, but alas all that did was lead to more remakes and more women in white with greasy long black hair movies, yeah 90's sucked big time and no I did not see it coming. Maybe now in 2012 we will be blindsided with more original horror movies exploding across the world, "Prometheus" maybe, I know it's more sci-fi horror but if we can go back to that feeling of the original "Alien". There's been a couple of cool 80's slasher inspired movies out of South Korea and Hong Kong that are actually very good and pay close attention to 80's slasher classics, so who knows? It can't possibly go any lower.......Can it??
