Horror Review: Girl House (2014)

Pin It now!

A beautiful young college student who, needing money for tuition, moves into a house that streams content to an X-rated website.

As those of you who have read my stuff before will know, my heart is in the Slasher genre so I never pass up a chance to view one.

Initially I settled into this film expecting some bad acting and essentially a good laugh with some kills and gore for good measure.

As a fan of Slashers I've found it's always good to keep expectations low, so when flicks like this come along it's always a great shock.

Directors Jon Knautz and Trevor Matthews do some great work and the pacing is perfect, the film never drags. The acting is also very good, highly surprising all round.

This is definitely one of only a handful of films that has took the original blueprint for the Slasher genre and put in a modern setting and make the concept work.

"Girl House" deserves a lot more credit, give it a try and you might be pleasantly surprised.
