My Top Ten Horror Twists

Pin It now!

Who doesn't love a good plot twist?!

I love a great ending and when it's a surprising plot twist that shocks you it can be even better.
SPOILER ALERT!!!

Due to this post being about shocking twists there may be films featured that you haven't seen so please be aware.

So here it is, my list of my  top ten Horror Endings (the list is not in a favouritism order):

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers
I still get goosebumps at this films ending, it's such a good finish to a tension filled feature.

Eden Lake

When this British Horror was released it shocked audiences with it's ending, it's still talked about today.

The Descent

This films twist ending messed with us all, it certainly had me going along with it.

SAW
The feature that had people talking all round the world, not only for it's graphic nature but an ending that had jaws around the world hitting the floor.

Orphan

I'll never forget watching this film with a group of friends and when it had the big reveal there were audible gasps of shock.

Psycho
The original film that taught me that not is all as it seems, it's a twist ending that has entered pop culture and is still a talking point.

The Mist
This movie featured a twist so good that even Stephen King stated he'd wished he thought of it first, that's how crazy it was.

Friday The 13th (1980)
A franchise known for Horror icon 'Jason Voorhees' yet it all started with his mother, I honestly thought it was 'Ralph' all along.

Sleepaway Camp

Still one of my favourite endings, it's still talked about amongst Horror fans today and for good reason, it's a twist that will stick with you.

April Fool's Day
A divisive ending amongst some but personally I thought it was great and slotted in well with the Slasher sub genre.
